A Halloween Challenge

Hallween ChallengeThis past weekend my friend and “grandmother” in my Stampin’ Up! upline, Jann McCollom,  issued us a “Wacky Weekend Challenge”.  She challenged us to make a Halloween card that does not use black or orange.  Well, that was certainly a challenge for me because those are the first two colors I always incorporate when making anything Halloween.  I accepted that challenge and came up with a color scheme of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Basic Gray.  And, for inspiration, I used this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches.  I think it turned out pretty cute in spite of no orange or black.  🙂

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Bootiful Occasions
  • Ink:  Rich Razzleberry,
  • Paper:  Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Polka Dot Parade dsp
  • Big Shot:  Chalk Talk Framelits
  • Punches:  2-1/2″ Circle
  • Embellishments:  Epic Day Washi Tape, Neutrals Candy Dots, Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

2 WEEKS ONLY!  STARTS MONDAY, OCT. 7 AND ENDS MONDAY, OCT. 21

What an awesome opportunity!  Stampin’ Up! has never offered their starter kit for this low price!!!    From Monday, Oct. 7 THRU Monday, Oct. 21, Stampin’ Up! will be offering a special starter kit for just $25!  What a wonderful way for Stampin’ Up! to celebrate it’s 25th anniversary!  Click here for all the details.
