A Freshly Made Swap

Birthday Basics & Chalk TalkStampin’ Up!’s annual convention is just a short week and a half away, so I’ve been busy creating some swaps to take with me.  One of my favorite things about convention (I have A LOT of favorite things about convention!) is swapping!  Picture thousands of demonstrators carrying around hundreds of cards they’ve created at home and swapping those samples with each other everywhere!  It’s quite a sight to see and so much fun!  I get lots of ideas and inspiration this way.

When I began working on a card design for one of the organized swaps I signed up for,   I wanted to use the new square framelits to create a frame and when I saw this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week, I knew it was perfect for this card!

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Chalk Talk
  • Ink:  Gumball Green
  • Paper:  Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Crisp Cantaloupe, Birthday Basics dsp
  • Big Shot:  Chalk Talk Framelits, Square Collection Framelits
  • Embellishments:  Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ruffled Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
