A Simple Butterfly

Butterfly Birthday

Here’s another card we’ll be making at  my March Birthday Card Club.  And, once again, my inspiration came from my sweet friend, Mary Fish.  I just love the simplicity of this card and how the butterfly pops off the card!  Now, those of you that have white space issues may not be able to stand this, but I say – embrace that white space!  It’s ok!

The thing I especially love about this is the paper piercing around the butterfly.  We have an awesome new Occasions paper piercing template pack (item #129387)  that includes the template to match the Elegant Butterfly punch along with templates to match other punches and framelits.  It’s in our Spring Catalog, available through the end of May 2013.

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Curly Cute
  • Ink:  Island Indigo
  • Paper:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Sycamore Street dsp (free Sale-a-Bration item)
  • Punches:  Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly (Spring catalog)
  • Embellishments:  Brights Brads, Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack, Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Pierce Mat
