Make a Wish

Make a Wish

Hello!  Today I want to share another card we’ll be making at my Birthday Card Club this month.  I love this “make a wish” stamp and wasn’t even going to get this stamp set until I got the cutest swap at Leadership from Jenny Peterson.  Here is a picture of her card.  I love the chalkboard technique she used and my original intention was to copy her card exactly, but I was designing this one for my club and they make 3 of each card for a total of 12 cards, so I needed to stay away from embossing to make the cards quick and easy.  (I’ll have to do that chalkboard technique at another event soon!)  So…long story short – I changed to this monochromatic card still using her great template.  I had forgotten how much I love monochromatic cards and especially love this one in Real Red!

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Make a Wish, Oh Hello
  • Ink:  Real Red
  • Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade dsp
  • Punches:  7/8″ Scallop Circle
  • Embellishments:  Paper Doilies, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

  2. What a cute card! You are such an enabler — I passed on that stamp set, but now I’m reconsidering. I love your monochromatick look!
