Every couple of years at my Stamping Clubs, we make a cute cover for a 2 year pocket calendar. It was time for a new one this year, so here is the one we made. (please excuse the bright spot on the pic from the flash – it reflected off the plastic).
I wanted the focal piece to look like a chalkboard, since it seems to be so trendy right now. To make your black card stock look like a chalkboard, you simply tap your Embossing Buddy (#103083) on your card stock and then smear the powder around with your fingers. Then, stamp your image in white ink.
Supplies Used:
- Stamps: From My Heart
- Ink: Whisper White
- Paper: Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Orchard Harvest dsp
- Big Shot: Apothecary Accents framelits, Chevron Textured Impressions Folder, Bitty Banners framelits
- Embellishments: Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Love this technique! That stamp is perfect for this project.
