Recycled Halloween Treat Container

OK, I know you’ve probably seen these all over blogs like I have, but I knew that I just had to make one!  The top and bottom of the container are made using the bottom and top of an empty brad/button container.  I have TONS of these!!  What a great way to recycle them.  The middle section is a window sheet.  I designed this one for a club project this month.

The designer paper pieces are 8 1/4″ x 3/8″ for the bottom and 8 1/4″ x 7/8″ for the top.  The window sheet is cut to 8 1/2″ x 3.  I used Sticky Strip to attach the paper to the outside of the top and bottom and to attach the window sheet to the inside of the bottom (which is the top of the brad container).  Don’t adhere the window sheet to the top because you want it to slide off to access the candy.

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Seasonal Sayings
  • Ink:  Tangerine Tango
  • Paper:  Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp, Very Vanilla, More Mustard (a 2 1/2″ circle on the bottom to cover the label), In Color 2012-2014 dsp, Window Sheet
  • Embellishments:  Gumball Green Sweater Trim, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Naturals Designer Buttons
