Flowering Birthday

Hello!  This past Monday, I saw an awesome card on the blog of my sweet friend and fellow Advisory Board member, Mary Fish.  She is so clever and made a card using the largest of the Flower Frames Framelits (say that 3 times quickly!).  I knew that I had to make one of these for an October club project!  So, here is what I came up with:

To make this, you just take an 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and fold it in half.  Use the largest flower framelit to cut through both layers, but put the flower just a tad above the fold line so that it doesn’t cut through the fold completely.  Mary has a great video tutorial on her blog (see link above).

Supplies Used:

  • Stamps:  Made for You
  • Ink:  Island Indigo
  • Paper:  Island Indigo, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Orchard Harvest dsp
  • Big Shot:  Flower Frames framelits
  • Punches:  Blossom Petals Builder, 1 3/8″ Circle
  • Embellishments:  Designer Printed Brads

  1. Very fun, and very cute! It’s nice to step out of the box and make different shaped cards every once in a while.
